The WA VHF Group is pleased to announce that the long-awaited Exhibition is OPENING on Wednesday 10th June 2020.
Because of restrictions around the COVID-19 pandemic the official opening ceremony has been postponed. However the exhibit is open to the public as of Wednesday 10th June 2020 from 10 AM until 2 PM and subsequent Wednesdays. The same applies to Fridays starting with Friday the 12th. Visitors to this page, whether Amateur Operators or not, are cordially invited to visit the Museum located in Telefunken Drive, Applecross, Western Australia. For Amateurs bringing family members, show them what lies behind your rig - the people who have experimented, sometimes with salvaged parts, to construct equipment and develop techniques that may have found a place commercially.
Our thanks to Gina, Emma and the team from City of Melville along with Bob VK6KW who primarily navigated, drove and undertook projects to bring the Exhibition to completion. It will form a large part of STEM education for our High School students.
This page will be updated from time to time, please check back again soon. Look forward to some pictures soon after the June 10th opening.
